Description
Kilkenny Castle was built soon after the Norman conquest of Ireland and subsequently stood as a symbol of the Norman occupation. The castle has since been rebuilt. Set on 50 acres of rolling parkland it features a formal terraced rose garden, woodlands that house an abundance of wildlife and a man-made lake that were added in the 19th Century.
